About Me...
I am originally from Louisville, KY. My entire family still lives there so I would love to move back to KY someday. I first went to college at
Auburn University in Auburn, AL, but I then transferred to Eastern Kentucky University for family reasons. I am still a huge Auburn Football fan though!! War eagle! I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education. After graduation, I got married to my husband Matthew who is now a Captain in the Marine Corps. He and I first moved to Quantico, VA where he was in training. I taught at North Stafford High School in Stafford, VA for a year and a half teaching Algebra 1 Part 1, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. My husband was then
restationed to Camp Pendleton, CA. We lived in the amazing city of San Clemente, CA and our house was only a mile from the beach! The weather was beautiful and there were always a lot of fun things to do in the area. I am a tourist at heart and I love traveling to new places. I taught AP Calculus AB, Calculus and PreCalculus at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano for 3 years. During that time, my husband was deployed twice overseas. He has since returned safely from deployment and was then restationed to Marine Barracks Washington in D.C. After we moved, I decided to forego looking for a teaching job so that I could work on my master's degree while being a stay at home Mom. We have one year old daughter, Raegan. While I miss being in the classroom, I love have this opportunity to watch her grow and learn while raising her.
